Glasgow Violence Against Women Partnership: About Us

The Glasgow Violence Against Women Partnership (GVAWP) was established in May 2000 with the aim of ‘promoting a strategic multi-agency response to violence against women in Glasgow’.

The GVAWP brings together a range of public and voluntary sector partners at city-wide and local levels to address the following objectives:

The national themes of Prevention, Protection and Provision cut across all of these objectives and reflect the complex nature of violence against women and the interdependence of initiatives aimed at making improvements within these themes.
