The aim of the GVAWP is to improve agency responses to violence against women. In working towards this goal the Partnership recognises that, at this time, securing adequate core funding is an ongoing issue for many front-line voluntary sector organisations providing services to women affected by male violence. The Partnership supports the need for funding of such voluntary sector organisations, to allow security and stability of service provision and to enable the sector to improve its capacity to provide services and to engage in multi-agency planning processes.
The Standing Group Against Women aims to:
This is a Standing Group of the Glasgow Women's Voluntary Sector Network which aims to bring together women who work in the voluntary sector, whether paid or unpaid, to raise awareness of, and advocate for the alleviation of, social exclusion and discrimination faced by women in Glasgow.

Meetings of the Standing Group are open to members of the Glasgow Women's Voluntary Sector Network.
