Unfortunately, due to current circumstances, initial contact will have to be made in English. If you are looking for support and do not speak English, please get an English speaking friend to contact us. If you wish we can arrange to meet you with a female interpreter. We will take your advice on this and you will always have control over the arrangements for the meeting.
The Rape Crisis Centre provides free and confidential support to women and girls who have been raped, sexually assaulted and/or sexually abused no matter when or how.
We give immediate and continuing support by telephone. Further support can be given in person where possible. We also offer letter support as some women prefer to write. We can be contacted by phone or letter.
The Centre is run by women for women and we also offer support to family and friends.
We provide information on police procedures, support women through the justice system and criminal injuries compensation. Workers can accompany women to appointments where requested.
We provide training to a wide range of agencies, statutory and voluntary, on issues relating to sexual violence.
Limited wheelchair access. A car can be arranged for support visits to women's home.
