Base 75 is a Social Work project which aims to provide a non-judgemental, easily accessible service to women involved in street prostitution and to assist women to exit prostitution.
Base 75 is a confidential service for women involved in prostitution. Information about women who use the service will not be divulged to anyone unless there is a specific risk to the woman's health or if children are thought to be at risk. If a young woman is under the age of 16, is known through care or is 'looked after/accommodated', then staff will inform the appropriate social work agency. Staff also have a duty to inform the social work department if a woman is known to them under the vulnerable young person's procedures.
